University Students - 2010
In 2005 a fund was donated to scholarship students
at the university level. There is a great need in this day for students to
receive further training than to end their educations with a high school degree.
Since Nicaragua is constantly progressing, it means that more jobs will be
available to those that are educated and have training in using a computer,
for example. There are so many students that have graduated from high school
but do not have the means to attend any of the local universities. There are
also many young couples that are working part-time and trying to finish their
studies on their own. Universities can cost between $10-45 a month; this means
$120-540 for the year. While that may not seem like a lot to some, it is a
huge expense for families or young couples living on $50-300 a month. It is
my hope that this scholarship program will be able to raise enough support
or find sponsors for the students
